Angry Over Affair, Skokie Man Shot Friend On Edens: Prosecutors
The 40-year-old man shot his friend several times because he believed he was having an affair with his wife, according to prosecutors.

SKOKIE, IL — Prosecutors said the Skokie man accused of shooting the passenger in his vehicle on the highway last month believed the victim was having an affair with his wife, the Skokie Review reported. Timothy Turner, 40, of the 8700 block of Ridgeway Avenue in Skokie turned himself in to police on Sept. 4 to face a charge of aggravated battery with a firearm, according to police.
Turner and a 48-year-old friend had been headed north on the Edens Expressway around 3:30 a.m. on Aug. 26 when the passenger realized the driver had begun shooting at him with one hand and driving with the other, according to prosecutors. The man tried to grab the gun away from Turner but could not.
The passenger was grazed on the head by a bullet and struck several times in the arm and shoulder before he managed to jump out of the moving vehicle and get to a nearby home where someone called 911, according to the Skokie Review. Turner was released on bail after posting a $15,000 cash portion of his bond.
