Church Street Bridge Over Edens Expressway Closed For 2 Weeks

SKOKIE, IL — A truck travelling on the Edens Expressway struck the support beams for an overpass last week, leading to a total road closure on the Skokie-Morton Grove border. The I-94 overpass at Church Street will be closed in both directions for two weeks for repairs.

As for detours, westbound traffic from Skokie on Church can go South on Lockwood Avenue and turn onto Dempster Street. Eastbound traffic from Morton Grove can turn south on Central Avenue to Dempster or north on Central to Golf Road.
