Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin to be Honored at Turning Point Annual Benefit

Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center hosts its annual benefit on June 20 from 6-9 p.m. at The Evanston Golf Club.

SKOKIE, Ill.- Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center hosts its annual benefit on June 20th from 6-9 p.m. at The Evanston Golf Club, 4401 Dempster St. in Skokie.

This year’s benefit, entitled Cultivating Creativity and Innovation, will honor Cook County Commissioner Larry Suffredin (Evanston); architect Joseph J. Behles, principal of Behles+Behles (Evanston), Turning Point Office and Facilities Manager Rayna Trayanova (Glenview) and Yaniv, Harell and Giora Dolgin, owners of Dolgin Construction (Wilmette) for their commitment to and support of comprehensive, high quality mental health care for everyone.

“As a community-based mental health care provider, it is important that we listen to community members and agencies about needs and current gaps in essential services. Our goal is to find expert, creative ways to allocate our limited resources to provide mental health services to the greatest number of people,” said Turning Point CEO Ann Fisher Raney. “This year’s benefit will be a wonderful way to spotlight the innovative approaches that Turning Point uses to expand our capacity to serve our residents.”

Guests will enjoy a lively musical performance by the Julian Chin Trio, a silent auction that will feature many exciting prizes, including a week-long stay in Switzerland, Chicago sports tickets, private meals with Rep. Robyn Gabel and State Sen. Daniel Biss, and much more, and a unique “Wellness Tips” video booth, where attendees can offer their personal ideas about how to stay happy, healthy and resilient.

In addition, you can purchase tickets for two exciting raffle prizes. First prize is a seven-night all-inclusive stay for two at the Moon Palace Resort in Cancun, Mexico, and second prize is an Apple Smart Watch. Raffle tickets are $10 each or six for $50.

Honoree Bios:

Larry Suffredin, of Evanston, has been Cook County Commissioner for the 13th District since 2002. Prior to being elected to office, Suffredin was an attorney who built his reputation as a government relations specialist at the local, state and federal levels. Suffredin received his Bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Chicago, his law degree from Georgetown University, and served as a captain in the United States Air Force Reserves.

Joseph J. Behles, of Evanston, is a founding partner of the architecture firm Behles+Behles. A 1981 graduate of the University of Notre Dame, Behles founded the firm in 1984 with his brother, Kenneth, and together they have been providing architecture, planning and interior design services to commercial, institutional, educational and retail clients for more than 30 years. Behles is a member of the American Institute of Architects as well as an accredited professional with the Chicago Chapter of the U.S. Green Building Council.

Dolgin Construction is a family-owned construction business based in Wilmette, IL. Giora Dolgin founded the company as a house painting business in 1970. Today, Giora and his two sons, Harell and Yaniv, offer full home remodeling services as well as construction of new homes and commercial projects.

Rayna Trayanova, of Glenview, is the Office and Facilities Manager at Turning Point Behavioral Health Care in Skokie. Trayanova manages the support staff and works with all clinical staff. She also manages facilities needs and has been the primary contact for multiple large-scale construction projects on-site. She is fluent in Bulgarian and has some knowledge of Russian and Serbian.
