SKOKIE, IL — The death of a man found lying in a gangway on Thanksgiving morning in Skokie has been ruled an accidental drug overdose, according to a spokesperson for the Cook County medical examiner's office.
Anthony Tomasetti, 33, of Mount Prospect, was found dead around 8:30 a.m. between two residential buildings in the 8100 block of Knox Avenue, according to Skokie police. Detectives from the north Cook County major crimes task force were called to help with the investigation.
According to a ruling from the medical examiner's office, Tomasetti died as a result of combined toxicity of cocaine, ethanol, fentanyl and Flualprazolam, which is a fluorinated version of Xanax said to be about twice as potent.
