Skokie Police Investigate Death On Thanksgiving
Police got a call of an unresponsive person lying on the ground between two buildings on Knox Avenue Thursday morning.

SKOKIE, IL — Detectives are investigating the death of a man or boy found between residential buildings in Skokie on Thanksgiving morning, according to police.
Officers were dispatched to the 8100 block of Knox Avenue around 8:30 a.m. for a report that a person was lying down in a gangway and appeared to be unresponsive, Skokie police said in a release. Paramedics arrived and determined he was dead.
Skokie police requested the assistance of the North Regional Major Crimes Task Force to investigate the circumstances of the person's death. His identity was not immediately released pending notification of family members.

Nov. 30 Update: Police later identified the man as 33-year-old Anthony Tomassetti. The suburban major crimes task force continued to investigate the circumstances of the death of the Mount Prospect resident.
