'Dirty Looks' In Walmart Parking Lot Led To Fight: Skokie Blotter

SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of those recently arrested and of incidents reported to the police. Readers are reminded that getting arrested does not mean that you are guilty, as criminal charges represent merely accusations that are often dropped or reduced.

HOME BURGLARY
Someone broke into a home in the 9200 block of Skokie Boulevard between 11 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on April 19.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY
A fight took place in the Walmart parking lot in the 3600 block of Touhy Avenue following an argument over the exchange of "dirty looks" involving one man and one woman who were punched by an unknown man. He then got into a car driven by another woman. When she drove away, the bumper of the car made contact with the leg of one of the woman who had been punched. No arrests have been made.

HOME BURGLARY
Someone broke into a home in the 4200 block of Mulford Street between midnight and 8:20 a.m. on April 20 while its occupants were sleeping inside.

BATTERY
A fight took place between two employees shortly before 12:30 p.m. on April 20 at a restaurant in the 4900 block of Oakton. The two co-workers reportedly pushed and hit each other.

HOME BURGLARY ATTEMPT
Someone tried to carry out a ruse burglary at a home in the 9600 block of Lawler Avenue between 12:33 and 12:43 p.m. on April 20.

HOME BURGLARY
Someone broke into a home in the 8500 block of Lockwood Avenue between 7:45 p.m. on April 21 and 1:06 a.m. on April 22.

BURGLARY
Someone was inside the Old Orchard Macy's after closing hours on April 22 and removed items on display prior to 9:30 p.m. on April 22, although the items were recovered.

REVENGE PORN
A known person was involved in an incident of telephone harassment and unlawful distribution of private sexual images that reportedly occurred last September, police were told on April 23.

HOME BURGLARY
Someone broke into a home in the 5100 block of Coyle Avenue between 11 p.m. on April 22 and 11 a.m. on April 23.

BATTERY
Someone battered a teacher at Niles West High School around noon on April 24.

SEXUAL ASSAULT
Someone came into the Skokie Police Department on April 24 and reported a rape that took place in 1997.

HOME BURGLARY
Someone broke into a home in the 8800 block of Kilpatrick Avenue between 6:20 and 8:30 p.m. on April 25.


ARRESTS

Julia Ivanov, 25, of the 5200 block of North Virginia Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 1:51 p.m. on April 19 at the Skokie Police Department and charged with one count of retail theft and one count of theft of services over an unpaid cab fare.

Clemont Z. White, 45, of the 8200 block of Kilpatrick Avenue in Skokie, was arrested at 11:17 p.m. on April 20 in the 8800 block of Niles Center Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and with a blood alcohol concentration above 0.08.

Julian Emerson Hutchinson, 24, of the 600 block of South Boulevard in Evanston, was arrested at 6:09 p.m. on April 22 in the 7900 block of Lamon Avenue and charged with possession with intent to deliver and the delivery of more than 30 grams of marijuana, a felony.

Shahin Khan, 45, of the 6400 block of North Richmond Street in Chicago, was arrested shortly before 8 p.m. on April 23 at the Walmart in the 3600 block of Touhy Avenue and charged with retail theft.

Keith M. King, 40, of the 5200 block of West Wellington Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 8:20 p.m. on April 23 in the 7000 block of Carpenter Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Raymond Carson Rivera, 71, of the 5200 block of Galitz Street in Skokie, was arrested at 8:47 p.m. on April 23 at the Skokie Police Department and charged with reckless conduct.

Calvin M. Miller, 46, of the 2600 block of West Winnemac Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 1:25 p.m. on April 24 in the 9400 block of Skokie Boulevard and charged with retail theft.
