Kids get your hard hats ready and visit the Skokie Farmers’ Market on Sunday, October 4, for the first ever Touch-a-Skokie Truck event with the Skokie Public Works Department! Check out the mighty trucks and learn about the work they do to keep the Village clean and clear. The trucks will be present from 9 a.m. to noon.
The Market is open Sunday’s through October 25, from 7:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. and located in the west half of the Village Hall parking lot at 5127 Oakton Street. Enjoy music by jazz guitarist, Doug Blake too.
Don’t miss out on the wide selection of fresh grown seasonal fruits and vegetables, which are always in abundance. Also available are fresh baked goods, farm fresh eggs, meats, a variety of mushrooms and cheeses, fresh cut flowers and plants and much more. Arrive early for the best selection.

There are new vendors and other fun surprises at this year’s Farmers’ Market for families including a vendor demo, meet-n-greet with the Animal Control Division on October 18, balloon artist and a variety of musicians.
