Don't Miss Upcoming Live Interview with Veteran, Advocate and Acclaimed Chicago Author May 25th

Series Host Ed Tracy, guides thoughtful and engaging conversations with authors and influential leaders in the arts, media and business.

The new, live interview series CONVERSATIONS with Ed Tracy continues at the Skokie Theatre on Wednesday, May 25 at 1:30 p.m with special guests Jim Frazier, former U.S. Marine and Gold Star father, and acclaimed non-fiction writer and historian, Arnie Bernstein. The program is part of a monthly, mid-day series featuring authors and influential leaders in the arts, media and business.

Following the death of his son, Staff Sgt. Jacob Frazier killed in action in Afghanistan on March 29, 2003, Frazier has served as a volunteer and representative for the Illinois Gold Star Families, an organization dedicated to supporting those who have lost a loved one in combat serving in the Armed Forces. Frazier’s interview preludes Chicago’s Memorial Day Parade where special recognition will be given to the fallen and their families, many who have connected with Frazier through his work with the Illinois Gold Star families.

Bernstein, a Chicago-native, will discuss his latest book Swastika Nation, which explores the 1930s Fritz Kuhn and the Bund movement in the United States. This appearance is a return to home of sorts as Swastika Nation has its genesis during Bernstein’s high school years with the threatened Nazi march in downtown Skokie. A book signing sponsored by The Book Stall at Chestnut Court follows.
