Halloween in Downtown Skokie

The Independent Merchants of Downtown Skokie present return of Halloween to Downtown Skokie. We will feature daily restaurant specials and merchant events on October 27-28, 2012


Some of the highlights include: 


Saturday, October 27 Trick-or-Treat in Downtown Skokie Noon - 4 p.m. Start at Crafty Beaver for your bag and spook-tivity guide, then visit participating Downtown Skokie businesses for a Halloween treat! For children age 12 and under, wearing a costume or mask.

A carnival funhouse at Oakton and Floral 12-7 p.m. Located in the parking lot by the Skokie Heritage Museum.


Face painting available at Gaite Salon from 2pm-3pm.

Movies at the Skokie Heritage Museum - 8030 Floral 2 p.m. “The Ghost and Mr. Chicken” 1966 - Rated G 90 min. 5 p.m. “Young Frankenstein” 1974 - Rated PG 106 min.Free admission with limited seatingSunday, October 28Farmers’ Market Trick-or-Treat 7:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.


On Sunday, October 28 - The Consumer Affairs Commission will hand out a free trick-or-treat bag and treat to children who attend in costume. Children also are invited to trick-or-treat at each vendor stand. A Carnival funhouse at Oakton and Floral 12-2 p.m. Located in the parking lot by the Skokie Heritage Museum.

Many Downtown Skokie businesses will feature spooky Halloween artwork in their windows created by School District 69 students
