Fake Oxycodone Prescription At Walgreens: Skokie Crime Reports

SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of those recently arrested. Readers are reminded an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges represent merely accusations that are often dropped or reduced.

INCIDENTS

ROBBERY ATTEMPT
Someone tried to push over a woman and steal her phone around 8 p.m. on Dec. 26 in the 3600 block of Touhy Avenue. A suspect was described as between 5 feet 10 inches and 5 feet 11 inches, a black man with a light complexion and a medium build wearing all dark clothes. He was reportedly unable to take the phone and fled in an unknown direction.

THEFT
Someone paid for a vehicle but never received it, a resident told police in the 8200 block of McCormick Boulevard around 9 a.m. on Dec. 14.

ATTEMPTED HOME BURGLARY
Someone tried to break into a home in the 1000 block of Old Orchard Court around 9:16 p.m. on Dec. 27.

ATTEMPTED HOME BURGLARY
Someone tried to break into a home in the 7900 block of Kostner Avenue through a side door between 7:50 and 8 p.m. on Dec. 28 but did make it inside.

RETAIL THEFT
Three people were seen fleeing the Foot Locker at Old Orchard Cetner with stolen items in hand around 8:45 p.m. on Dec. 28.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY
An aggravated domestic battery was reported in the 8100 block of Knox Avenue around 3:22 a.m. on Dec. 30. A few hours earlier in the same block police said a criminal trespass and a battery occurred. There were no arrests associated with the incident.

UNAUTHORIZED PRESCRIPTION FORM
Someone tried to use a fraudulent prescription for to obtain Oxycodone from a Walgreens in the 4900 block of Old Orchard Road around 5 p.m. on Dec. 30.

BURGLARY
Someone used a brick to break out the front glass door of a hair salon in the 8300 blokc of Keystone Avenue and broke open the cash register between 6:15 p.m. on Dec. 29 and 10:20 a.m. on Dec. 31.


ARRESTS

A 24-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 3:03 p.m. on Dec. 26 in the 8300 block of McCormick Boulevard and charged with driving without a valid license.

A 29-year-old Chicago woman was arrested at 7:47 p.m. on Dec. 26 in the 3600 block of Touhy Avenue and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license.

A 31-year-old Evanston man was arrested at 11 a.m. on Dec. 27 in the 8800 block McCormick Boulevard and charged with driving on a suspended license.

Uriel Mendoza, 33, of the 6300 block of North Leavitt Street, Chicago, and Jessica Mendoza, 31, of the 7300 block of North Seeley Avenue, were arrested at 8:45 p.m. on Dec. 27 at the Skokie Walmart, 3626 Touhy Ave., and charged with retail theft.

A 43-year-old Evanston man was arrested at 1:09 a.m. on Dec. 28 in the 7600 block of Skokie Boulevard and charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

A 59-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 2:35 a.m. on Dec. 28 in the 7600 block of Lincoln Avenue and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license.

A 19-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 5 p.m. on Dec. 28 in the 5000 block of Touhy Avenue and charged with driving an uninsured vehicle without a drivers license.

Grace Kennedy, 68, of the 9700 block of Woods Drive, Skokie, was arrested at Old Orchard Shopping Center at 5:45 p.m. on Dec. 28 and charged with shoplifting.

Aldina Kovacevic, 31, of the 900 block of West Ida Court, Mount Prospect, was arrested at 7:15 p.m. on Dec. 28 at the Skokie Walmart, 3626 Touhy Ave., and charged with retail theft.

A 55-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 6:30 p.m. on Dec. 29 and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license in the 5000 block of Church Street.

Freddy A. Diaz-Vega, 36, of the 8400 block of Monticello Avenue, Skokie, was arrested on an in-state warrant at 8:17 p.m. on Dec. 29 at his home.

A 19-year-old Evanston man was arrested at 3 a.m. on Dec. 30 in the 7200 block of McCormick Boulevard and charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license.

Amanuel Esayas, 26, of the 8200 block of North Elmwood Street, Skokie, was arrested at 6:06 a.m. on Dec. 30 in the 4400 block of Oakton Street and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, with a blood alcohol concentration above 0.08 and speeding between 26 and 34 mph above the posted limit.

Stephen Chan, 25, of the 3000 block of South Parnell Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 2:27 p.m. on Dec. 30 at the Old Orchard Shopping Center and charged with two counts of retail theft.

Jason Jongwon Lee, 23, of the 1400 block of West Taylor Street, Chicago, was also arrested at 2:20 p.m. on Dec. 30 at Old Orchard and charged with two counts of retail theft.

A 27-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 6:21 p.m. on Dec. 30 in the 3900 block of Howard Street and charged with driving without a license.

Jerome Christopher Roberts, 31, of the 13100 block of South Saint Lawrence Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 9:55 p.m. on Dec. 30 at Old Orchard Shopping Center and charged with retail theft, obstructing identification and possession of drug equipment.

A 22-year-old Evanston man was arrested at 11:06 p.m. on Dec. 30 in the 3300 block of Dempster Street and charged with driving on a suspended license and possession of less than 30 grams of cannabis.

George R. Seaberry, 23, of the 600 block of Mulford Street, Evanston, was arrested at 2:15 a.m. on Dec. 31 in the 4900 block of Golf Road and charged with unlawful use of an identification card, obstructing identification and an in-state warrant.

A 19-year-old Skokie man was arrested at 3:17 a.m. on Dec. 31 in the 7300 block of Niles Center Road and charged with driving on a suspended license.

Demitri R. Hall, 24, of the 1800 block of Dempster Street, Evanston, was arrested at 3:13 pm. Dec. 31 on an in-state warrant in the 400 block of Sherman Avenue.

A 30-year-old Evanston man was arrested at 3 a.m. on Jan. 1 in the 9100 block of McCormick Boulevard and charged with driving on a suspended license.

Michael James Robertson, 31, of the 500 block of North Lawndale Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 10:10 p.m. on Jan. 1 in the 9100 block of Gross Point Road and charged with retail theft and resisting police.
