ATM Skimmer Found, Nordstrom Mass Looting: Skokie Crime Reports

SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of those recently arrested. Readers are reminded an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges represent merely accusations that are often dropped or reduced.
INCIDENTS
CAR BURGLARY, CHASE

Around 11:22 a.m. on Dec. 19, burglars stole a purse from a vehicle while a driver was pumping gas in the 5000 block of Old Orchard Road. An off duty Chicago cop witnessed the incident and called in a description of the car, which Skokie officers quickly located. But when police tried to pull over the suspects, around 11:27, they fled from police and the pursuit was called off.
HIT AND RUN

Following a five-car traffic crash in the 7400 block of McCormick Boulevard around 4:48 p.m. on Dec. 19, two of the vehicles, including the motorist described as "the offender" by police, left the scene of the crash.
MASS LOOTING
A group of 17 people stole about 12 Canada Goose coats with a retail value of about $900 each from the Nordstrom at Old Orchard around 5:25 p.m. on Dec. 19. The retail looters got into multiple unidentified vehicles and fled eastbound on Golf Road.
ATM SKIMMER
An card-skimming device was found inside the Citibank ATM at the Walgreens, 4850 Oakton Street around 1:53 p.m. on Dec. 21. A store manager called police to report that a customer had discovered a device had been placed on the card readers. Police arrived and took the device foir analysis, but had not identified a suspect or the time it was placed.

ARRESTS
A 19-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 2:08 a.m. on Dec. 18 in the 3700 block of Main Street and charged with driving with a suspended license, revoked registration, between 10 and 100 grams of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Alazar W. Segin, 45, of the 700 block of South Oakley Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 6:01 p.m. on Dec. 18 in the 4300 block of Enfield Avenue and charged with driving under the influence of drugs and hit and run.
Bruce Ricardo Spencer, 30, of the 8400 block of Monticello Avenue, Skokie, was arrested at 10:17 p.m. on Dec. 18 at his home and charged with criminal damage to property.
Raneem A. Nofal, 20, of the 9600 block of North Karlov Avenue, Skokie, was arrested at 3 p.m. Dec. 19 at Old Orchard Shopping Center and charged with theft.
Mustafa Musawwir, 31, of the 7200 block of North Keating Avenue, Lincolnwood, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. on Dec. 21 in the 4500 block of Oakton Street and charged with criminal trespassing.
Esteban Andres Escobar, 20, of the 8700 block of Ridgeway Avenue, Skokie, was arrested at midnight at Dec. 22 in the 9100 block of East Prairie Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration above 0.08 and possession of drug possession.
A 25-year-old Chicago woman was arrested at 2:07 a.m. on Dec. 22 in the 4700 block of Oakton Street and charged with driving without a license.
Lebria E. Graham, 19, of the 1700 block of Greenfield Avenue, North Chicago, and Danqweshia Blalock-Thompson, 21, of the 1600 block of Glenn Drive, North Chicago, were arrested at Old Orchard Shopping Center at 11:38 p.m. on Dec. 22 and charged with retail theft.
Sean Rosario, 18, of the 6700 block of North California Avenue, was arrested at 12:36 a.m. on Dec. 23 in the 4900 block of Golf Road on an in-state warrant.
A 36-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 12:28 p.m. on Dec. 23 in the 3500 block of Dempster Street and charged with driving on a suspended license.
A 31-year-old Chicago woman was arrested at 4:10 p.m. on Dec. 23 in the 5300 block of Touhy Avenue and charged with driving without a license.
Yessenia Aliyah Martinez, 19, of the 7300 block of North Seeley Avenue, Chicago, was arrested shortly before 4 p.m. on Dec. 24 at the Skokie Walmart and charged with theft of under $500.
A 37-year-old Skokie woman was arrested at 11:50 p.m. on Dec. 24 in the 9600 block of Gross Point Road and charged with driving with a suspended or revoked license and without insurance.
