GT Skokie: Funny Old Broads Starts SECOND EXTENSION Tomorrow!!
FUNNY OLD BROADS, a comedy and music show which opened July 18th at Gorilla Tango’s Skokie Theatre to sold out crowds, has been extended yet again. The brainchild of comic Caryn Bark, creator of the critically acclaimed one-woman show "Diary of a Skokie Girl," has already received rave reviews from The Chicago Reader. The Reader’s Justin Hayford has called Bark’s stories harrowing and hilarious. Regarding one of Bark’s bits he wrote, “(She) had me laughing hard enough to compromise my bladder's integrity.” As for the other performers Robin Riebman, Pam Peterson and Jan Slavin, The Reader reviewer wrote, “they're likeable, inventive, and occasionally ingenious comediennes.” And that was after the first performance! FUNNY OLD BROADS features Bark, and The Boomer Babes (Pam Peterson and Jan Slavin), Robin Riebman and musical director Beckie Menzie.
Extended shows are Thursdays September 12, 19, 26 & October 3, 10, 24, 31 at 7:30pm. Tickets are $24. To purchase tickets visit www.gorillatango.com/skokie or call 847.677.7761.
