Glenview Resident Named Leader of Les Turner ALS Foundation

With more than three decades of experience, Andrea Pauls Bachman is ready for the executive director role with the Skokie-based non-profit.

Glenview resident Andrea Pauls Bachman is the new executive director of the Les Turner ALS Foundation, a nonprofit group based in Skokie.

The Glenview Announcements reports Pauls Backman took over the leadership role on February 23 and will work with the foundation’s longtime executive director, Wendy Abrams, during the transition.

“Wendy’s been executive director since 1979, and I feel a real sense of honoring the legacy she has created here,” said Pauls Backman, who will oversee a staff of 20.

Pauls Backman has worked in various roles for Mesirow Financial, JMB Realty Corporation and RREEF, a Deutsche Bank subsidiary.

She was also recently a national trustee for The ALS Association, where she was vice chair of the finance committee and chair of the investment committee.
