Google and State Rep. Fine Team up for Online Safety at Old Orchard Junior High School
State Rep. Laura Fine joined Google to present "driver's ed for the web" to students at Old Orchard Junior High School.

On Monday September 15, State Rep. Laura Fine joined Google to present “driver’s ed for the web” to students at Old Orchard Junior High School.
The interactive Online Safety Roadshow assembly engaged teens on how to stay smart online. Students learned from Google employees about how to build stronger passwords, avoid online scams and protect their online identity. Five tips to stay safe include:
- Know and use your settings
- Think before you share
- Protect your stuff
- Avoid scams
- Be positive
State Rep. Fine talked to students about the importance of internet safety and competed against two students in a password meter game designed to test the strength of online passwords.

The Online Safety Roadshow was created in tandem with principals and child safety groups, National Association of Secondary School Principals and iKeepSafe, to develop a digital literacy assembly. To find more information about being safe online, please visit the Google Safety Center.
