It's Peach Season and more at the Skokie Farmers' Market!

Everything's peachy at the Skokie Farmers' Market! Peach season is here.

Everything’s peachy at the Skokie Farmers’ Market! Peach season is here. The Market is open Sunday’s through October 25, 2015. The hours are 7:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. and located in the west half of the Village Hall parking lot at 5127 Oakton Street.

Don’t forget to stop by the Consumer Affairs Commission table and sign up for the electronic newsletter. Those who do will be will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a gift certificate towards the Farmers’ Market. Those who donate a non-perishable food item on this day will receive an additional entry for the raffle. All non-perishable food items benefit the Niles Township Food Pantry. Glass jars and perishable items are not accepted.

Also consider donating older and unneeded eye glasses to the Lions Club while at the booth.

A wide selection of fresh grown seasonal fruits and vegetables are always in abundance at the Farmers’ Market. Also available are fresh baked goods, farm fresh eggs, meats, a variety of mushrooms and cheeses, fresh cut flowers, plants and much more. Arrive early for the best selection.

The market is sponsored by the Consumer Affairs Commission. There are new vendors and other fun surprises at this year’s Farmers’ Market for families including safety seat checks by appointment on September 13, a document destruction event on September 20, a story time with the Skokie Public Library on September 27, a balloon artist and a variety of musicians.
