The Jewish Course of Why

Get the answers to most interesting, fun, controversial and relevant questions about Jews and Judaism!

This new course from the Jewish Learning Institute is all about asking “Why?”. We surveyed people, asking them to submit the questions about Judaism that they are most curious about. We carefully combed through the hundreds of responses, and methodically selected the top 50 questions about Jews and Judaism. These are really good questions, and they are not all going to be easy to answer. There are several varieties of questions and the course will move from fun and entertaining to hot and controversial, and from deep and thoughtful to enigmatic and mysterious. All of the questions begin with the word why.

This is your chance to get answers to those Jewish questions that you haven’t fully dealt with before. Please join Rabbi Yochanan Posner!

This class is offered at FIVE separate times to suit every schedule:

Option 1: Six Thursday mornings, starting February 11, 2016, 10:30am-12:00pm
Option 2: Six Thursday evenings, starting February 11, 2016, 8:00pm-9:30pm
Option 3: Six Sunday early-mornings, starting February 14, 2016, 9:00am-10:30am
Option 4: Six Sunday mid-mornings, starting February 14, 2016, 11:30am-1:00pm
Option 5: Six Sunday evenings, starting February 14, 2016, 7:00pm-8:30pm

The Thursday classes will meet every Thursday, February 11 through March 17.
The Sunday classes will meet every Sunday, February 14 through March 20.
