July 5 Special Events at the Skokie Farmers' Market!
The Market is open Sunday's through October 25, 2015. The hours are 7:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.
The Skokie Farmers’ Market season is well underway! Bring the family to the Market on Sunday, July 5 to meet Skokie Police officers and view the Community Outreach Police Substation (COPS) vehicle, meet members of the Consumer Affairs Commission and enjoy music by two local musicians. The Market is open Sunday’s through October 25, 2015. The hours are 7:30 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. and located in the west half of the Village Hall parking lot at 5127 Oakton Street.
Customers who visit the Consumer Affairs Commission table and sign up for the electronic newsletter and will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win a gift certificate towards the Farmers’ Market. Those who donate a non-perishable food item on this day will receive an additional entry for the raffle. All non-perishable food items benefit the Niles Township Food Pantry. Glass jars and perishable items are not accepted. And don’t forget to pick up a ballot to submit an entry for the Merchant of the Year award and consider donating older and unneeded eye glasses to the Lions Club while at the booth.
While at the market, talk to Skokie Police officers and volunteers about crime prevention, Neighborhood Watch, the new Many Cultures, One Community - Keeping Skokie Safe campaign and other happenings in the community.

A wide selection of fresh grown seasonal fruits and vegetables are always in abundance at the Farmers’ Market. Also available are fresh baked goods, farm fresh eggs, meats, a variety of mushrooms and cheeses, fresh cut flowers, plants and much more. Arrive early for the best selection.

The market is sponsored by the Consumer Affairs Commission. There are new vendors and other fun surprises at this year’s Farmers’ Market for families including chef demos, a visit by the Skokie Fire Department with demonstration on July 19, document destruction event on September 20, a balloon artist and a variety of musicians.
