LINCOLNWOOD TOWN CENTER TO HOST 'LACE UP YOUR SHOES' MALL WALKER EVENT

Lincolnwood Town Center, Lincolnwood’s family friendly shopping venue, will host a “Lace Up Your Shoes” Mall Walking event for community members who are 55+ on Wednesday, February 24 at 9 a.m. in conjunction with Lincolnwood Parks & Recreation. Walkers will meet in the Center Court at Lincolnwood Town Center for this fun and free exercise program.

“We are excited to collaborate with Lincolnwood Parks & Recreation to educate and inspire members of the community to stay healthy and fit,” says Genelle Iocca, marketing director at Lincolnwood Town Center. “This is a great opportunity for local residents to improve their general health while enjoying all that Lincolnwood Town Center has to offer.”

Participants will get their heart rates up with the assistance of Lincolnwood Parks & Recreation staff. Representatives will coach attendees through a series of low-impact exercises. Walkers are encouraged to register beforehand in the Mall Management Office, located on the Upper Level by Carson’s.

The Mall Walking Program welcomes walkers each morning and brings more than 300 participants every week. The social exercise program offers a convenient way for residents to stay moving and take advantage of the many popular retailers at Lincolnwood Town Center, such as Bath & Body Works, Champs Sports, Finish Line, J.B. Robinson Jewelers, New York & Company and Things Remembered. Shoppers can also enjoy refreshments from 90 Miles Cuban Café, Auntie Anne’s, Coffee Beanery, Manchu Wok or Villa Fresh Italian Kitchen.
