Fanny Kohn passed away at her Lincolnwood Place retirement home on June 14.

The goal of longtime Skokie resident Fanny Kohn was to live to be 100 and be surrounded by the people she loved.

Kohn had a 17-year career with the Illinois Department of Transportation, working with and for engineers in the Division of Highways. She often had to balance her job with raising children.
