Melinda Scott Named Vice President of Sales and Marketing of Covenant Retirement Communities, Inc.

Chicago-based Covenant Retirement Communities (CRC), one of the nation’s largest not-for-profit senior services providers, announced that Melinda Scott has been appointed vice president of sales and marketing. In her new position, Scott is responsible for oversight of the sales functions and personnel for the company’s 12 communities nationwide, as well as overseeing marketing strategies and policies.

Scott has spent the past 15 years in the not-for-profit senior living sector. Before joining Covenant Retirement Communities, she served as president and leadership team executive of new ventures at Holleran, a nationally recognized leader that specializes in senior living and community health. There, she was part of a multi-disciplinary leadership team that developed and implemented business strategies, branding and marketing. Additionally, she served as vice president of marketing and sales at Willow Valley Retirement Communities and as regional vice president of business development at Sodexo Senior Living.

Scott earned a bachelor of arts degree in foreign language from Millersville University in Millersville, Penn. and certifications from Sandler Training Center for Professional Development in strategic leadership and organizational alignment. She received marketing professional certification from the National Association of Examiners for Long Term Care Administration, trained in crisis and risk communication from the Center for Risk Communication and is a past member of the American Health Care Association.
