Missing 6-Year-Old North Chicago Boy Damari Perry Found Dead; 3 In Custody: Police
Three family members are in custody after Damari Perry's body was found near an abandoned house in Gary, Indiana, police said.

SKOKIE, IL — Six-year-old Damari Perry, a North Chicago boy who went missing at a suburban party this week, has been found dead, the North Chicago Police Department said in a release. Three family members have been taken into custody in connection with the boy's death, authorities said.
Damari's body was found Saturday near an abandoned house in Gary, Indiana, police said. His death was ruled a homicide, according to a report by WGN.
Damari was last seen Tuesday evening and reported missing Wednesday. On Thursday, police in North Chicago and Skokie asked the public for help finding him.

North Chicago Police Chief Lazaro Perez in a statement Friday said Damari and his 16-year-old sister were allegedly driven to a party in the Skokie area by a black female known only as 'Monique' and a black male known as 'Wacko' or 'Chaos."

Damari's sister told police she had several drinks at the party and fell asleep, Perez said, but when she awoke approximately two hours later, Damari and 'Wacko' were no longer on the apartment."
The sister told investigators she got a ride back to North Chicago with Monique in a four-door Nissan with tinted front windows and a dent on the front passenger door. Monique was described as about 20 years old and 5 feet, 5 inches tall. She has a 6-year-old son of her own, police said.
The man known as "Wacko" or "Chaos" was described as about 22 years old with a thin build, dark complexion, and dreadlocks or short braids. He had a tattoo above one of his eyebrows depicting cursive writing.
