Mom Threatens Dean; Firearm, Meth Delivery Charge: Skokie Blotter

Incidents and arrests from the Skokie police blotter from Nov. 4 - Nov. 10.

SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of those recently arrested and of incidents reported to the police. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Readers are reminded that everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless their guilt is established beyond a reasonable doubt, and criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

INCIDENTS

HOME BURGLARY
A residential burglary was reported in the 5000 block of Fargo Avenue between 5 and 9:30 p.m. on Nov. 5.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY
Someone smashed the front window of a business in the 3500 block of Dempster Street around 2 a.m. on Nov. 6 and stole various cellphones from a display case.

THEFT/CREDIT CARD FRAUD
An employee of a business in the 5200 block of Oakton Street reported that someone stole their wallet from a purse while they were working between 6 and 7 p.m. on Nov. 6. Stolen credit cards were later used without authorization.

ARMED ROBBERY ATTEMPT
An attempted armed robbery was reported at a 7-Eleven in the 8300 block of Skokie Boulevard shortly before 5 a.m. on Nov. 7.

CAR BURGLARY
Someone shattered the front passenger side window of a locked car parked in the 5200 block of Touhy Avenue between 5 and 6 a.m. on Nov. 8. A red leather tote bag with a pink wallet containing an ID and three credit cards was reported stolen.

SHOPLIFTING
Three unidentified women or girls stole items from the Victoria's Secret at Old Orchard Shopping Center between 11:30 a.m. and noon on Nov. 8. The shoplifters escaped on foot.

SEXUAL ASSAULT
An incident of criminal sexual assault was reported in the 9600 block of Gross Point Road around 8:30 p.m. on Nov. 8.

ASSAULT
A parent made a threat to harm a dean at Niles West High School for "picking on" her child around 8 a.m. on Oct. 31. The incident was reported on the morning of Nov. 9. The administrator did not seek to press charges.

IDENTITY THEFT
Someone cut off a lock from a locker and stole a wallet between 2:30 and 3:30 p.m. on Nov. 9 in the 3400 block of Touhy Avenue. A man described as 25 to 30 years old, between 5-foot, 7-inches tall and 5-foot, 10-inches tall, about 180 pounds and black wearing a tan hat, backpack, light pants and black jacket later used the stolen credit cards at an unspecified location.

ARRESTS

George P. Milewski, 53, of the 4200 block of North California Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 1:30 a.m. on Nov. 4 in the 7200 block of McCormick Boulevard and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or above. He was also ticketed for speeding 26 to 34 mph above the limit.

Jamil I. Almoklef, 38, of the 4000 block of West Lawrence Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 4 a.m. on Nov. 4 in the 8300 block of Kostner Avenue and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Martin J. Harding, 54, of the 4600 block of Jerome Street, Skokie, was arrested around 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 4 in the 7600 block of Niles Center Road and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or above.

Angelo R. Natali, 28, of the 5000 block of Grove Street, Skokie, was arrested around 6:30 p.m. on Nov. 4 in the 4900 block of Greenwood Street and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Lupeng Wu, 29, and Lina Wu, 27, both of the 800 block of Noyes Street, Evanston, were arrested around 9:15 p.m. on Nov. 5 at the Old Orchard Macy's and charged with retail theft.

Noe Contreras, 26, of the 2000 block of North Laporte Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 9 p.m. on Nov. 6 at the Old Orchard Macy's and charged with retail theft.

Dwayne T. Thomas, 29, of the 4100 block of North Ravenswood Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 9:15 p.m. on Nov. 6 in the 5000 block of Dempster Street on an in-state warrant.

Odell D. Harris, 24, of the 6900 block of South Laflin Street, Chicago, was arrested around 2 p.m. on Nov. 7 at the Cook County Criminal Court Building in Chicago on a charge of retail theft.

Raymond A. Costales, 43, of the 2900 block of West Chase Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 9:45 p.m. on Nov. 8 in the 9000 block of Skokie Boulevard and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver, possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance, unlawful possession of firearms or ammunition, possession of drug equipment and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Lashaun C. Watson, 23, of the 7200 block of South Wood Street, Chicago, was arrested around 5:30 p.m. on Nov. 9 at the Old Orchard Gap and charged with retail theft.

Nedjeljko Soldo, 65, of the 7300 block of North Kostner Avenue, Lincolnwood, was arrested around 7:15 p.m. on Nov. 10 in the 5500 block of Touhy Avenue and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or above.
