No Shame on U: Inaugural Event featuring Kevin Briggs "Guardian of the Golden Gate Bridge"
Upcoming Community Event: Discuss and combat the negative stigma associated with mental illness, raise awareness, and provide support.
Local nonprofit No Shame on U is dedicated to breaking the stigma associated with mental health so those who need help seek it and others know how to provide the proper support. Their upcoming inaugural event will feature Kevin Briggs “Guardian of the Golden Gate Bridge” who dedicated years to patrolling San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge where he encouraged over 200 people to return to solid ground and start a new chapter in their lives. Through his compassion, gentle voice, and innate capacity for “listening to understand” Briggs saved those who thought they had lost all hope. No Shame on U strives to raise awareness in order to help more people see the same light.
The event will include refreshments and opportunity to meet Kevin Briggs and a book signing.
