Margaret “Peggy” Savosik, 78, of Peyton, Colorado, passed away on May 16, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. Peggy was born in Louisville, Kentucky on June 17, 1940 to the late Carl and Margaret Brenner.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 51 years, Peter Savosik, and their daughters, Megan, Stacey and Ashley Savosik, along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Peggy, Peter and their family resided in Lake Forest for many years where she was a member of the Service Club of Chicago and a member of the Lake Forest Bath & Tennis Club.

In 1994 Peggy and Peter and their family left Lake Forest and moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado, where she joined her sister, Sara Kaye Pratti and niece Allison (Scott) Kaye Johnson also from Lake Forest. Peggy thrived in her extraordinary career as the business manager of Lake Forest College (Lake Forest) and as Vice President of the First of America bank (Vernon Hills).
Most recently, Peggy proudly served, for over 15 years, as the Director of Programs & Financial Services for USA Badminton and was exceptionally dedicated to the growth of the sport of Badminton and well respected as such.
Peggy was a member of the distinguished Daughters of The American Revolution (DAR) and participated in the local chapter of P.E.O. She was also a member of Grace Episcopal Church in Colorado Springs. Peggy loved to shop with her daughters, loved Hallmark movies, and enjoyed playing bridge. She was respected and loved by her colleagues and her friends.
Most importantly Peggy loved life and was deeply devoted to her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on June 1, 2019 at 10:00 am at Grace and St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church, 610 N Tejon St, Colorado Springs. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in honor of family members.
