Oakton hosts dialogue on cannabis in the community March 31

The public is invited to a panel discussion on how communities and businesses will be affected by the legalization of cannabis in Illinois.

Communities and businesses will be impacted in a number of ways by the recent legalization of cannabis in Illinois. Oakton Community College invites you to attend a panel discussion to learn more about about how these changes might impact you. The event, which is free and open to the public, is Tuesday, March 31, 6:30-8 p.m., at Oakton’s Skokie campus, 7701 N. Lincoln Ave., in Rooms P103-104.

“With the cannabis culture evolving drastically in Illinois, we believe it’s our responsibility as the community’s college to provide a forum to educate the public as perceptions evolve and laws change,” said Ruben Howard II, Ph.D., Oakton’s director of Workforce and Strategic Partnerships.

Howard will moderate the discussion, presented in partnership with the Village of Skokie.
