Obituary: Pamela Lichtenstein, 71

Services for the Michigan native will be held Monday in Skokie.

Pamela Gene Lichtenstein née Slavin, of Skokie, passed away peacefully March 27 in Sarasota, Florida at the age of 71. Pam or "Pammy" was born February 27, 1947 and raised in Benton Harbor, Michigan. She was a proud Benton Harbor High graduate (Class of '65), earned a B.S. from Western Michigan University and maintained warm friendships with temple and school friends over the years.

Always eager to help a friend in need, she was an exquisite baker and chef with a fine eye for detail and found treasures everywhere. She had a charmed way of creating feasts and parties for friends and family.

Pam loved knitting, antiquing and traveling and passed along her joie de vivre to her three daughters and three grandchildren. Her gift of gab and sense of humor will stay with us forever.
