Open Communities ~ Justice Day (July 26th)

Open Communities event on Diversity and Inclusion in the North Shore area.

For the first time in recent history, a strong and committed group of community leaders from the North Shore area of Chicago, and the Non-Profit organization Open Communities, have joined forces to promote The 2015 Justice Project; a grassroots social justice movement devoted to inspire Diversity and Inclusiveness in our North Shore communities.

On Sunday July 26th, we are launching this project with our first major event: “Justice Day ~The March Continues.” This event also commemorates the 50th anniversary of the visit of Dr. Martin Luther King to Winnetka, and an impressive list of national and local community leaders are planning to attend and speak at this event, to inspire our communities to become more Open, Diverse and Inclusive.

Join us to commemorate this important anniversary, and become involved in the Justice Project, and this historical welcome movement. Because a community divided and segregated cannot truly prosper, let’s be united by understanding, respect, appreciation and compassion for one another; and let’s remember what Dr. King wanted us all to recognize, that ”We all must learn to live together as brothers or perish together as fools.” ~ Dr. Martin Luther King.
