Orchard Village Resident Selected as ComEd Energy-Efficient Ambassador

​Alex Anderson will attend several ComEd events this year, providing tips to help others save energy.

According to a ComEd news release, the Energy Force is the country’s first energy-efficiency education program designed for and taught by people with disabilities.

Anderson, a resident of Orchard Village, is 23 years old and graduated from the Orchard Academy in 2013. He’s independent, having worked as a leader at the Great Lakes Naval Base in North Chicago and currently does maintenance work at Buffalo Wild Wings.

He is also a three-sport athlete with the Special Olympics, competing in basketball, softball and track.

As part of the ComEd team, he will attend several events throughout the year geared to educate Chicagoans about staying energy efficient.
