Orchard Village Welcomes New Board Member Julia Mazur

SKOKIE, IL -- Orchard Village is happy to announce a new board member -- Julia Mazur.

A graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and the University of Minnesota, Julia has worked for 13 years as a lawyer at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP in Chicago. She is a member of the firm’s Intellectual Property Department. Julia helps companies across industries build and protect their brands and represents clients in advertising, trade secret, and other types of disputes.

Besides being a lawyer, Julia loves helping others. She was an associate board member for EverThrive Illinois, a nonprofit organization group that focuses on healthcare equity. She also works with Chicago Women in IP (ChiWIP), which supports women working in Intellectual Property law.

Julia also provides pro bono legal work. She helped free an individual who was wrongly put in prison for 24 years. She has also helped nonprofit groups protect their logos and names. Julia lives in Kenilworth, Illinois.

Orchard Village is a charitable organization founded in 1972 and located in Skokie, Illinois. Orchard Village empowers people with developmental disabilities to achieve fulfilling lives in their communities. The organization partners with families and communities to ensure that people with developmental disabilities have choices and a voice in their lives, and, that they receive support to reach their goals.
