Remember hit Disney songs by the Sherman Brothers at Skokie Theatre
Top Chicago talent set to perform memorable songs by the Sherman Brothers

Jazz vocalist Jenifer French has assembled an unbeatable ensemble of Chicago musicians and performers from the worlds of jazz and cabaret for her crowd pleasing tribute to the Sherman Brothers, coming to Skokie Theatre on October 29, 2015.
You surely cannot forget a Sherman Brothers tune for your entire life. Richard M. and Robert B. Sherman were the only on-staff songwriters at the Walt Disney Studios and specialized in composing movie scores, TV and theme park songs, chart-topping pop records, and penning hit after hit for classic movie musicals like Mary Poppins, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, The Parent Trap and The Jungle Book. Now, singer Jenifer French, along with her top notch backing band and special guest performers, presents an endearing tribute to these memorable tunes. Jenifer is known for her high energy shows that tell the stories behind the songs you love, and The Sherman Brothers Tribute Show is no exception. Sons of Russian Jewish immigrants as well as being third generation songwriters, you’ll get a peek into the writing room of the Oscar and Grammy winning Sherman Brothers, while enjoying favorites like “I Wanna Be Like You,” “Let’s Get Together,” “You’re Sixteen,” “Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious,” “The Aristocats,” and, of course, “It’s a Small World.” You’ll be singing and dancing along to some of the best songs in musical movie history, and leave saying, “Wow! They wrote that song, too?”
In its third run after selling out at Davenport’s Piano Bar and Cabaret in 2014, the show is being brought to Skokie Theatre where you’ll be hearing over 30 Sherman Brothers gems being performed by the best Chicago has to offer, including Jenifer French (vocals and emcee), Jim Cox (bass), Phil Gratteau (drums), Adam Haus (vocals, guitar and ukulele), George Howe (piano, vocals and music director) and Daryl Nitz (vocals and director). Also joining the show are very special guests, legendary Chicago comedian, musician, and actor Skip Griparis (Major League and Major League II) and the First Couple of Chicago Theatre Judy Rossignuolo-Rice and Bernard Rice. With all this talent on the stage, you can bet it will be an unforgettable evening of incredible music. And there are sure to be a few surprises in store!
