'Resolution': Round 2 of Story Slams At Skokie Theatre

Bring your stories of resolutions – good, bad, yours or someone else's – to the second round of the inaugural season of Skokie story slams.

SKOKIE, IL — It's time for the second episode of the inaugural season of Skokie story slams, as anyone can take part in the new monthly storytelling competition based around a theme word.

The theme of January's slam is "Resolution."

"What have you ever resolved to do? How did you go about it? Did it work out? Or were you affected by someone else's resolution?" organizers asked.

Ten volunteer storytellers have five minutes each to tell a story inspired by the concept. A panel of 10 judges from the audience selects a winner in the event, in the style of the popular The Moth storytelling series.

This month's event takes place at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5 at the Skokie Theatre, tickets are $10.
