SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of those recently arrested. Readers are reminded an arrest is not an indication of guilt and criminal charges represent merely accusations that are often dropped or reduced.

INCIDENTS

BATTERY
During an argument between two motorists in the drive-thru lanes of a business in the 4800 block of Dempster Street, one man punched another in the chin with a closed fist around 11:50 a.m. on Jan. 1, police were told. The victim did not wish to press charges after the man apologized.

HOME BURGLARY
Someone burgled a home in the 5300 block of Crain Street around 1:23 p.m. on Jan. 2.

RETAIL THEFT
Someone stole $200 worth of clothing from the Bloomingdale's at Old Orchard Center around 11:45 a.m. on Jan. 3.

BATTERY
Someone grabbed a person by the throat around 12:20 p.m. in the 8300 block of Crawford Avenue, causing an injury.

HOME BURGLARY
Someone entered a "mostly vacant" home currently in foreclosure in the 4500 block of Main Street and stole a flatscreen television, a couch, the kitchen stove, a refrigerator, several boxes of tools and loose tools in the garage, as well as an industrial mop.

CAR BURGLARY
Someone stole an iPhone from an unlocked vehicle in the 4800 block of Dempster Street around 4 p.m. on Jan. 5.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Someone swung an air hose at a vehicle and broke its rear window in around 3 p.m. on Jan. 7 in the 5000 block of Touhy Avenue.

ARRESTS

A 34-year-old Chicago woman was arrested at 8:52 a.m. on Jan. 3 in the 4000 block of Church Street and charged with driving on a suspended or revoked license.

Stephen G. Stone, 33, of the 4800 block of Mulford Street, Skokie, was arrested at 11:55 p.m. on Jan. 3 at his home and charged with possession of a controlled substance.

Jasmyn M. Parsons, 27, of the 1700 block of Golf Road, Waukegan, was arrested at 10:58 a.m. on Jan. 4 at the Skokie Police Department and charged with forgery, driving on a suspended or revoked license and obstructing identification.

Levar Dawson, 31, of the 8300 block of South Essex Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 1 p.m. on Jan. 5 at the Skokie Police Department and charged with battery.

Shawn Rashidi, 27, of the 7900 block of Lamon Avenue, Skokie, was arrested at 7:13 p.m. on Jan. 5 in the 4900 block of Hull Street and charged with driving with a suspended license and obstructing identification.

Throy Bobby Nightingale, 30, of the 3400 block of West Bryn Mawr Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 12:20 p.m. on Jan. 4 at the Skokie Courthouse and charged with aggravated assault. Police said he was involved in a Jan. 2 road rage incident. In that case, a black SUV and a green Chrysler in the 3300 block of Dempster Street ended up involved in a hit-and-run and aggravated assault.

Jevoynah Nathaniel, 19, of the 3600 block of West Bryn Mawr, Chicago, was arrested at 5:45 p.m. on Jan. 4 at the Skokie Walmart and charged with retail theft.

A 22-year-old Skokie man was arrested at 8:41 p.m. on Jan. 4 in the 7500 block of Lincoln Avenue and charged with driving on a suspended license.

Jose Oscar Herrera, 22, of the 7100 block of North Western Avenue, was arrested at 11:37 p.m. on Jan. 5 at the Skokie Police Department and charged with driving without a license and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage.

A 27-year-old Chicago man was arrested at 11:42 p.m. on Jan. 5 in the 3400 block of Touhy Avenue and charged with possessing less than 30 grams of cannabis and drug paraphernalia.

A 33-year-old Morton Grove man was arrested at 5:24 p.m. on Jan. 6 in the 8700 block of Springfield Avenue and charged with driving on a suspended license.

Michael Jamal Wright, 30, of the 10000 block of Holly Lane, Des Plaines, was arrested at 3:20 a.m. on Jan. 7 in the 3200 block of Oakton Street and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and with a blood alcohol concentration above 0.08.

Lucas Grant, 30, of the 5800 block of Artesian Street, Chicago, was arrested at 12:25 a.m. on Jan. 8 in the 6900 block of Lincoln Avenue and charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident and driving on a suspended license.

Ariyanna Middlebrook, 18, of the 2700 block of West Pratt Boulevard, and Dernandiez Lindsey, 18, of the 1500 block of West Albion Avenue, were arrested at 11:40 p.m. on Jan. 8 in the 5300 block of Touhy Avenue and each charged with fraud and criminal damage to property.
