Second Saturday Coffeehouse: Kristin Lems

Kristin sings original and contemporary folk favorites with topics ranging from the personal to the political, the poetic to the persnickety

Our Second Saturday Coffeehouse welcomes back Kristin Lems, versatile composer, songwriter and folksinger from Evanston, Illinois. In “You, Me, and All of the Above”, Kristin sings original and contemporary folk favorites with topics ranging from the personal to the political, the poetic to the persnickety.

The New Yorker magazine called Kristin “a charmer in the most literal and least artificial sense of the word.” Gloria Steinem referred to her as “a one woman argument against the notion that the women’s movement doesn’t have a sense of humor.”

Kristin is preceded by an open mic (any genre, all acoustic). Bring your own talents and those of your talented friends! 8 pm, 7:30 sign-up. A suggested donation of $8 includes coffee and refreshments.
