September 11 Remembrance Ceremonies Scheduled
Early-morning ceremonies will be held at each of Skokie's three fire stations.
Village of Skokie September 11 Remembrance Ceremonies
On Wednesday, September 11, 2019, the Skokie Fire Department will dedicate a moment of silence with a bell ceremony beginning at 8:57 a.m. at the flagpole of each of its fire stations in remembrance of the attacks on the United States on September 11, 2001. Skokie police officers also will attend the ceremonies.
At 8:59 a.m., a “last alarm” bell ceremony will take place followed by a minute of silence at 9 a.m. Station locations include:
