Sexting Investigation; Aggravated Assault At Walmart: Blotter

SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of those recently arrested and of incidents reported to the police. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Readers are reminded that everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless their guilt is established beyond a reasonable doubt, and criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

INCIDENTS

STOLEN CARS

  • Someone stole a car from the 4700 block of Washington Street between 7:45 and 8:45 a.m. on Jan. 19.
  • Someone stole their girlfriend's car, fled police, crashed into another vehicle and fled the area in the 7900 block of Karlov Avenue around 2:22 a.m. on Feb. 2. No one wished to press charges.
  • A burglar entered a home in the 8300 block of Ridgeway Avenue through a kitchen window and stole cash and an antique coin collection from inside between 7 and 9 p.m. on Feb. 6.

HOME BURGLARIES

  • Someone burglarized a home in the 4900 block of Howard Street between 2 p.m. on Jan. 10 and 11 a.m. on Jan. 19.
  • Someone tried to break into a home in the 7700 block of Niles Center Road around 4:10 p.m. on Feb. 2.

ARMED ROBBERY
An armed robbery occurred at the Walgreens, 4850 Oakton Street, between 8:22 and 8:32 p.m. on Jan. 20. Police said a person was robbed of his cellphone at gunpoint and a 15-year-old and a 16-year-old Skokie boy were arrested. They were each charged with one count of armed robbery an petitioned to juvenile court.

CHILD PORNOGRAPHY
Police investigated a case of sexting at Niles North High School that occurred in December 2018 and was reported on Jan. 22.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT/UNLAWFUL USE OF A WEAPON
An incident involving an assault, battery and the unlawful use of weapons by a felon was reported in the 5300 block of Davis Street around 11:30 p.m. on Jan. 29. Police did not disclose whether anyone was arrested.

ROBBERY
A robbery and retail theft was reported at the Dollar Tree, 4101 Dempster St., around 2:30 p.m. on Jan. 30 after a customer took cash from the register while a clerk was ringing up a sale for about $4 worth of items.

BATTERY
Three people were beaten by a group of five following an argument in the McDonald's parking lot in the 4800 block of Dempster Street around 11:30 p.m. on Feb. 7.

PUBLIC INDECENCY
Police received two reports of public indecency of a person with the same description in the 3600 block of Touhy Avenue between 9:15 and 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 11. The man was described as a 26 to 29 year old man with shaped eyebrows, short black hair and a slim build. He was described as Hispanic and last seen wearing a gray t-shirt.

SEXUAL ASSAULT
An instance of aggravated criminal sexual assault was reported around noon on Feb. 12 in the 5100 block of Madison Street.

ARRESTS

Tai A. Amedee-Jones, 35, of the 8000 block of Keeler Avenue, Skokie, was arrested around 2 a.m. on Jan. 20 in the 3900 block of Dempster Street and charged with domestic battery, driving with a revoked license and fleeing police .

Destiny I. Puentes, 23, of the 5000 block of West Wolfram Street, Chicago, was arrested at 5:41 p.m. on Jan. 22 at the Skokie Police Department and charged with retail theft

Norma Alcantar-Soria, 40, of the 5900 block of North Campbell Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 6 p.m. on Jan. 22 and charged with shoplifting from the Walmart, 3626 W. Touhy Ave. between 5 and 5:30 p.m.

Justin N. Johnson, 28, of the 5900 block of North Ridge Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 2:40 p.m. on Jan. 23 and charged with shoplifting from the Old Orchard Macy's store around 11:50 a.m. that day.

Jose Manuel Rivera, 24, of the 3200 block of North Kostner Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 1 p.m. on Jan. 25 and charged with shoplifting from the Walmart at 3626 W. Touhy Ave. days earlier.

Diane L. Bougher, 68, of the 2900 block of West Montrose Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 10 p.m. on Jan. 25 and charged with shoplifting from the Old Orchard Macy's store between 8 and 9 p.m. that night.

Gerone J. Tate, 28, of the 5500 block of South Halsted Street, Chicago, was arrested around 9 p.m. on Jan. 26 in the 8200 block of Niles Center Road and charged with criminal trespassing.

Kapree T. Watson, 21, of the 4800 block of Lee Street, Skokie, was arrested around 5 p.m. on Jan. 27 and charged with retail theft from the Walmart, 3626 W. Touhy Ave.

Colby Adams, 28, of the 1000 block of Holly Street, Helena, Arkansas, was arrested around 9 p.m. on Jan. 27 in the 4900 block of Dempster Street on an out-of-state warrant.

Jung Min Pak, 38, of the 600 block of Colonial Lane, Des Plaines, was arrested around 11 p.m. on Jan. 29 in the 7000 block of Carpenter Road on an active in-state arrest warrant.

Terrence M. Garrity, 56, of the 900 block of Tylerton Circle, Grayslake, was arrested at 10:10 a.m. on Jan. 30 in the 4200 block of Dempster Street and charged with unlawful use of weapons following an investigation into a traffic crash.

Emily M. Hoag, 59, of the 1900 block of Colfax Street, Evanston, was arrested around 10 p.m. on Jan. 30 at the Skokie Police Department and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol with a blood alcohol concentration of 0.08 or above.

Faustino M. Yuquilma-Barbecho, 29, of the 3900 block of North Saint Louis Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 7 p.m. on Jan. 30 in the 3300 block of Touhy Avenue and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a valid license and a hit-and-run.

Maurice A. Sibley, 37, of the 1600 block of West Le Moyne Street, Chicago, was arrested around 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 30 at the Old Orchard shopping center and charged with retail theft and possession of drug equipment. Police said a search turned up two credit cards belonging to someone else as well as some drug paraphernalia.

Jourdan Leon Kennedy, 20, of the 36100 block of North Bridlewood Avenue, Gurnee, was arrested at 7:39 p.m. on Jan. 31 in the 3800 block of Hull Street and charged with criminal damage to property.

Jennifer A. Juhlin, 37, of the 1600 block of West Le Moyne Street, Chicago, was arrested at 1:11 p.m. on Feb. 1 in the 3600 block of Dempster Street and charged with retail theft from the nearby CVS, possession of someone else's credit card and a probation violation.

Abdulwahab I. Rage, 25, of the 6100 block of North Mozart Street, Chicago, was arrested at 5 a.m. on Feb. 1 at the Walmart, 3626 W. Touhy Ave., and charged with aggravated assault, criminal damage to property and criminal trespassing.

(Removed), was arrested at 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 2 and charged with retail theft from the Old Orchard Macy's store.

Nancy A. Rhoten, 44, of the 2600 block of West Fitch Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 2:40 p.m. on Feb. 3 and charged with retail theft at the Walmart, 3626 W. Touhy Ave.

Tyrone L. Hull, 49, of the 1700 block of Lotus Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 1:30 a.m. on Feb. 4 in the 7400 block of Skokie Boulevard and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Cady M. Hope, 37, of the 4200 block of North Elston Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 3:15 p.m. on Feb. 4 and charged with shoplifting from the Skokie Walmart, 3626 W. Touhy Ave.

Ofelia D. Eulogio, 18, of the 6300 block of North Magnolia Avenue, Chicago, and Myriam S. Villalobos, 22, of the 1600 block of North Sherwin Avenue, Chicago, were arrested around 6 p.m. on Feb. 6 and charged with retail theft from the Walmart, 3626 W. Touhy Ave.

Tianna A. B. Little, 23, of the 8000 block of South Western Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 11 p.m. on Feb. 6 and charged with two counts of retail theft at Old Orchard shopping center.

Hector Irizarry, 22, of the 800 block of Pamela Drive, Bensonville, was arrested around 4:30 p.m. on Feb. 7 and charged with fleeing or attempting to elude police and driving with a suspended or revoked license.

Husnija Kalamperovic, 66, of the 1700 block of West Crystal Lane, Mount Prospect, was arrested at 7:39 p.m. on Feb. 7 and charged with retail theft at the Old Orchard shopping center.

Bathariya Kamil, 44, of the 6800 block of North Sheridan Road, Chicago, was arrested around 3:30 p.m. on Feb. 8 in the 9300 block of Lowell Avenue and charged with criminal damage to property and two counts of violation of an active order of protection.

Fariz O. Allil, 18, of the 8400 block of W. Catherine Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 3:45 p.m. on Feb. 9 and charged with retail theft from the Old Orchard Macy's store.

Christian Anthone Garcia-Palomo, 27, of the 4800 block of Lee Street, Skokie, was arrested around 6 p.m. on Feb. 11 in the 5100 block of Main Street and charged with criminal damage to property.

Matenneh Sesay, 25, of the 2000 block of West Jarvis Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 7:17 p.m. on Feb. 11 and charged with shoplifting from the Walmart, 3626 W. Touhy Ave.

Gregory A. White, 31, of the 6400 block of North Hoyne Avenue, Chicago, was arrested at 1:15 p.m. on Feb. 13 in the 3200 block of West Touhy Avenue and charged with retail theft and criminal trespassing.

Jamauria T. Wright, 23, of the 3500 block of South Rhodes Avenue, Chicago, was arrested around 5 p.m. on Feb. 13 in the 4900 block of Dempster Street and charged with assault.

Elexices L. Sawyer, 21, of the 900 block of Lenox Avenue, Waukegan, was arrested at 7:42 p.m. on Feb. 13 at the Old Orchard Macy's store and charged with battery, disorderly conduct and retail theft.
