Skokie-Based Drug Company Seeks Cure for Psoriasis
A partnership between Exicure and Purdue Pharma could produce the results.

SKOKIE, IL - A Skokie-based drug making company is partnering with another on the East Coast to create hundreds of drugs that could treat previously untreatable diseases.
Exicure, which started at Northwestern University and has since been backed by Bill Gates, will work on the production of the series of drugs with Purdue Pharma, the Stanford, Connecticut-based company that makes OxyContin according to a report from the Skokie Review.
A treatment for psoriasis could be among the drugs produced, both companies announced earlier this month. The agreement between the two could reach $790 million.
