Skokie Man Pleads Guilty To Facebook 'Revenge Porn'
The 23-year-old admitted to posting an explicit video of a woman online without her consent.

SKOKIE, IL — A Skokie man pleaded guilty last month to posting sexually explicit images of a woman on the internet without her permission.
Naenb A. Mershah, 23, of the 9100 block of Keating Avenue, admitting to posting an explicit video of a woman on Facebook without her consent and was sentenced to 18 months probation. The terms of his probation forbid him from having any form of contact, whether it be electronic or through a third party, with his victim.
Mershah was arrested Aug. 7 after an investigation into a video posted to Facebook on July 25 and reported to police two days later. He pleaded guilty on Sept. 18, according to court records.

Skokie police obtained a search warrant and arrested Mershah after establishing probable cause that he had made the post, Officer Eric Swaback said in August. No other agencies were involved in the investigation, he said at the time.

Non-consensual dissemination of private sexual images is a class 4 felony, created by Illinois lawmakers in 2014. Mershah has previous convictions for burglary, unlawful use of a weapon and drug offenses.
