Marcia Buell and her daughter Celia, 14, of Skokie modeled designs by Rachel Alvia of Evanston in the May 2 Fashion Forward Mixed-Ability Fashion Show/Gala to benefit Tellin’ Tales Theatre at the National Hellenic Museum in Greektown. Celia gave a moving speech at the event about surviving childhood cancer and about her participation in the 2014 Tellin’ Tales “Six Stories Up” production that brought together middle school students and their mentors – with and without disabilities – to share their stories.
