Skokie Patch Honors Graduating Seniors In Class Of 2020: Part 2

This is the second installment of our salute to the graduating class of 2020 in Skokie.

SKOKIE, IL — Skokie Patch is sharing the achievements of local high school graduates by putting them in the spotlight this month. Due to the coronavirus, in-person classroom teaching and extracurricular gatherings have been canceled for the rest of the 2019-2020 school year in Illinois.

We know these wonderful seniors are missing out on some of the last moments of the school year and we hope to give the community a way to share their pride in our class of 2020 high school graduates.

Here are some of the graduating high school seniors from the historic class of 2020:

Samuel Moscovitch, Ida Crown Jewish Academy

Moscovitch, who plans to pursue study biomedical engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, is a member of the National Honor Society and has completed training to become an emergency medical technician. He also works with children with disabilities and runs half-marathons for charitable causes, according to his family.

Message from family: "Congrats Sammy! We are so proud of all that you have accomplished and the man you have become. We love you so much and know you will continue to make this world a better place. Love, Mommy, Abba, Charlie, William, and Payton"


Jenna Chiet, Niles North High School

Chiet, who plans to major in kinesiology at Bradley University, was captain of the Vikettes, an executive with Dance Marathon and a member of the WHO Club during high school, according to her family.

Message from family: "Congratulations Jenna! We know this is not how you expected the end of your senior year to be but you are taking it with great stride and we couldn't be prouder! We know that you will continue to reach for the stars in all that you do! We love you!!!"


Ethan Humphries-Dolnick, Niles North High School

Humphries-Dolnick, who plans to attend Oakton Community College in the fall, was a member of the Niles North jazz band and track and cross-country teams, according to his family.

Message from family: "Congrats, Ethan you've made us very proud!"


Nina Gowell, Niles North High School

Gowell plans to pursue a forensic biology career, according to her family.

Message from family: "Congratulations Nina! Love from Mom & Dad"


Eliza Mofreh, Niles North High School

Mofreh, who plans to attend Tricoci University of Beauty Culture, sang in the Niles North choir, according to her family.

Message from family: "She is one hardworking and determined young lady."


Fonzie Hanson, Niles West High School

Hanson, who was a member of the football, wrestling and track and field teams at Niles West, has been accepted into the nursing program at Olivet Nazarene University and hopes to become an emergency room trauma nurse, according to his family.

Message from family: "Your sister and I are so proud of you for all that you have accomplished at West. As you move on to the next stage of your life, keep speaking your truth and continue to speak for those without a voice. You will go far in life."


Sheridan Witko, Niles West High School

Witko ran track, was a peer mentor and a member of the National Honor Society while attending Niles West, according to her family. She intends to attend the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in the fall.

Message from family: "We are so proud of your accomplishments and know you will have a positive impact on society in the future."


Austin Tellefsen, Niles North High School

Tellefsen, who plans to study culinary arts at Harper College, played baseball at Niles North, according to his family.

Megan MacAndrews, Niles North High School

MacAndrews, who plans to study psychology at Oakton Community College, enjoys art, according to her family.
