The Village of Skokie will be conducting an open, written examination for the position of Police Officer on Saturday, July 24, 2021. The testing is typically conducted every two years. The deadline to apply to take the examination is on Friday, June 25, 2021, at 2 p.m.

A few general information points about Skokie's Police Officer recruitment process includes:
- Minimum of 21 years of age and under 35 years of age at the time of the written examination on July 24, 2021
- High school diploma or equivalent and one of the following required:
- Minimum sixty colleague semester hours from an accredited institution by the application deadline date of June 25, 2021
- or -

- Four years of active military service with an Honorable Discharge by the application deadline date of June 25, 2021
- Within 24 months of hire, reside in Cook, Lake or DuPage County in Illinois
