Skokie Police Investigate Shooting On LeClaire
The man found shot multiple times in a residential neighborhood of Skokie Friday night is expected to survive, police said.

SKOKIE, IL — Police are investigating the circumstances of a Friday night shooting in a residential neighborhood of Skokie. Someone called 911 around 10:40 p.m. to report gunfire in the 9400 block of LeClaire Avenue, between Foster and Emerson Streets. Officers arrived to find a 23-year-old Skokie man in a parked car suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, according to police.
Witnesses told investigators a dark-colored sedan fled the area following the shooting, according to police, but it is not known if it was involved. The victim was taken to a hospital and was expected to survive.
Skokie police do not believe, based on information currently available, that a "threat exists to the general public," according to a Saturday release.
