Here are step-by-step directions to help get you started with a few of our favorite online resources for kids.

This resource is designed for students in kindergarten through grade 3. It includes articles and activities that support literacy.

Once you have logged in with your library card number and last name, select a content area: Animals, Animales, Science, Biographies, Social Studies, or Dinosaurs.

Hover over or clicking on any of the pictures to read or listen to information.

After you’re finished learning, click on “Games” at the bottom of the page to select a fun learning activity.

For added fun, click on “Question of the Day” at the bottom of the page to answer a poll like we regularly have at the Youth Services Desk.

Do you wonder what it is like in other states or countries? Do you enjoy learning fun facts and trivia or looking at fun infographics? Parts of this resource can also be translated into Spanish, Russian, Polish, Arabic, Hebrew, and many other languages. Just look for the “translate” menu.

Click the colorful “Explore” button for the module you would like to try.

World Edition provides cultural information about more than 200 countries.

States Edition provides information about all of the states in the United States.

Provinces Edition lets you explore the provinces and territories of Canada.

Or try the Kids Edition for information by region or country in a kid-friendly format.

For a really cool way to learn about people from other places, click on the “Interviews” tab in the World or Kids Editions to read or listen to interview questions and answers from people of all ages.
