She hit a parked car while dropping off a student but failed to stop and report the accident, police said.

SKOKIE, IL — A Schiller Park woman who pleaded guilty to a charge related to a collision with a parked car has been fired from her job as a school bus driver in Skokie, Pioneer Press reports. Karen Dandrea was charged with failure to report an accident after a Sept. 5 incident in the 3800 block of Madison Street in Skokie. A witness told police the bus driver hit the side of a parked car while dropping off a John Middleton Elementary School student.
Dandrea was told about the crash by the witness, but she did not get out to note the damage or notify the owner, according to police reports obtained by Pioneer Press. Although she pleaded guilty to a non-m0ving violation, the five-year employee of A & B Bus Company was fired, the owner told the paper. Dandrea told police she did not remember hitting a car or being asked to reverse and the owner of the damaged car decided not to press charges against her, according to the reports.
