SKOKIE, IL — Should Skokie be a leader in taking proactive steps to be more sustainable? How important it it for the village to cut greenhouse gas emissions from energy and land use?

How can the village improve sustainability with regard to its buildings, transportation, waste management, use of renewable energy and water?

Everyone who takes part in the first survey will be invited to take part in any follow-up surveys created as part of the development of the environmental sustainability plan.

"What would you like to see done to reduce community-wide greenhouse gas emissions?" one of the questions on the survey asks. "If you do not think this is feasible/ necessary, why?"

Respondents can share their views on what "climate impacts" they have noticed, any ways that they have been personally affected by climate change and what can be done to make residents and businesses more sustainable.

The online survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete.
