The Mahatma Gandhi sculpture in Skokie’s Heritage Park has been around for a decade.
A celebration is being planned for the sculpture by the Gandhi Memorial Trust from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on October 4, according to the Skokie Review. Village officials approved plans to close McCormick Boulevard between Dempster Street and Church Street that day to accommodate the event, which is expected to draw some 300 visitors.
