There’s never been a better time to apply for an AFS program!

AFS-USA, the world’s oldest and largest student exchange organization, is pleased to offer students in the Chicago area with an exclusive new scholarship opportunity. Any student from Chicago-area school who is accepted to any AFS program will receive an automatic scholarship of at least $1000!

But that’s not all! 

Over the years, AFS has awarded millions of dollars in scholarship awards to Chicago-area students, resulting in thousands of life-changing opportunities and career-influencing experiences. Today, AFS awards more than $1 million annually to students across the country to enable them to take part in our transformational journeys. All students from Chicago-area schools are encouraged to apply for these merit and need based scholarships in addition to the automatic scholarship of at least $1000. 

Through AFS, you can spend as few as two weeks or a full academic year abroad. And, as the largest organization of its kind in the world, there are more countries and themes to choose from than you could ever imagine. 

Unlike many programs, all AFS experiences include international travel, insurance, and orientations to make sure you’re properly prepared for your adventure. 

AFS programs and scholarships (including this $1000+ special scholarship) are available to anyone eligible for an AFS program. And, there are programs for students from age 13-18, freshman to senior! That means seniors are also eligible for scholarships. 

Make sure that when you apply for college (or, in the future, for your dream job), you can state on your application that “I was an AFS’er!” As the most recognized leader in student exchange, you’ll make an important and immediate impression that may just make the difference you need.
