Threat, Theft, Unregistered Sex Offender At Walmart: Blotter

SKOKIE, IL — The following information comes from the Skokie Police Department as a record of those recently arrested and of incidents reported to the police. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court. Readers are reminded that everyone arrested is presumed to be innocent unless their guilt is established beyond a reasonable doubt, and criminal charges represent accusations by the state that are often dropped or reduced.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE
Around 11:45 a.m. on July 5, a person known to the victim broke a window in the 7900 block of Kostner Avenue.

BATTERY
A woman was slapped and had a cigarette put out on her face in the 3600 block of Touhy Avenue around 4 p.m. on July 5.

SEXUAL ASSAULT
A criminal sexual assault that took place in the Lakeview neighborhood of Chicago between 5:41 p.m. on July 4 and 5:50 a.m. on July 5 was reported at Skokie Hospital around 5 p.m. on July 5.

HOME BURGLARIES

  • Someone broke into two residential units in the 5300 block of Touhy Avenue between 2 p.m. on July 4 and 3 a.m. on July 5 using an access card and/or a prying tool and stole a laptop, a cell phone and between $4,000 and $4,600 in cash.
  • A violation of an active order of protection and a residential burglary were reported around 9:15 p.m. on July 6 in the 9000 block of Keating Avenue.

STOLEN CAR
Someone stole the cab to a semi-truck parked in a lot in the 6000 block of Oakton STreet between 9 a.m. on June 29 and 7 a.m. on July 5.

STALKING/DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A magnetic tracking device was found mounted underneath a vehicle in the 3500 block of Touhy Avenue between noon and 1 p.m. on July 7.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE/TRESPASSING/BATTERY
Around 6:45 p.m. on July 7, an incident of domestic battery, criminal damage and trespassing to residence was reported in the 8500 block of Christiana Avenue. Police did report any associated arrests.

CRIMINAL DAMAGE/DISORDERLY CONDUCT
A motorist reported around 8 p.m. on July 7 that someone driving a silver BMW had thrown an unknown object at their car, cracking the windshield.

AGGRAVATED BATTERY
An incident of aggravated battery of a senior citizen by a known person in the 9200 block of Gross Point Road was reported between 10 a.m. and 8:21 p.m. on July 8.

FALSE POLICE REPORT
An unidentified man called the Skokie Police Department around 10 p.m. on July 8 and claimed he was going to kill people at Walmart.

BATTERY
An incident of battery and criminal damage to property was reported around 2:45 p.m. on July 9 in the 9400 block of Kenton Avenue.

STOLEN CAR
On July 9, police received a report a known person had stolen a car from the parking lot of the Skokie Courthouse between noon and 9 p.m.

COMMERCIAL BURGLARY
Someone burglarized the 7-Eleven, 4834 Church St., between 6:06 and 7:19 p.m. on July 10.

ARRESTS

Billy G. Burks, 28, of the 9000 block of Keating Avenue in Skokie, was arrested at 9:38 p.m. on July 6 in at his home and charged with residential burglary and violation of an order of protection.

Daniel S. Eta, 34, of the 100 block of West 62nd Street in Minneapolis, was arrested at 1:48 a.m. on July 8 in the 3600 block of Main Street and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Sana B. Ansari, 34, of the 9300 block of Kenneth Avenue in Skokie, was arrested at 6:24 p.m. on July 8 in the 4500 block of Lyons Street and charged with driving under the influence of a combination of alcohol and drugs and leaving the scene of a property damage accident.

Nicole A. Ferry, 27, of the 5700 block of North Campbell Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 8:17 p.m. on July 8 and charged with retail theft at the Walmart, 3626 Touhy Ave.

Emma J. Findley, 37, of the 9300 block of South Chicago Avenue in Chicago, was arrested at 5:20 a.m. on July 10 in the the 3800 block of Touhy Avenue and charged with retail theft.

Eric Clark, 29, of the 1700 block of West Juneway Terrace in Chicago, was arrested around 9:30 p.m. on July 11 at the Walmart at 3626 Touhy Ave. and charged with a violation of sex offender registration requirements and obstructing identification.

Manuel Escalante-Martinez, 35, of the 4900 block of Crain Street in Skokie, was arrested at 11:42 p.m. on July 11 at the Skokie Police Department on a warrant.

Quindin J. Perry, 21, of the 1500 block of South Boulevard in Evanston, was arrested at 5:33 a.m. on July 12 at the Skokie Police Department and charged with misdemeanor theft and felony possession of a controlled substance.
