SKOKIE, IL- Turning Point Behavioral Health Care Center announced today the appointment of two new members to the board of directors to serve three-year terms effective September 1, 2013. The new members at large are Neil Gambow and Michael Corr.
New Board Chair Marge Kray said “We are excited to welcome Neil and Michael to the board. Both have been involved supporters in the past, and their leadership in this capacity opens new possibilities to advance Turning Point’s mission during a period of growth.”

The board elected a new roster of officers effective July 1, 2013 for the coming year. The officers are Marge Kray, President; Kathleen Occhipinti, Vice President; and Neil Takiff, Secretary. Returning for an additional term is Scott Kaplan, Treasurer. Members retiring from the board following distinguished service are Robert Carty, James L. Lytle and Carol Wilson.

Margaret T. Kray (President) is a senior consultant communications consultant for The Segal Company. She has an MBA in Human Resource Management and is a long time- resident of Skokie.
Kathleen Occhipinti (Vice President) held a faculty position for over twenty-one years with St. Joseph Hospital and Northwestern University Family Medicine Residency. Currently she maintains a private counseling practice and consulting services. She has worked with a variety of educational and non-profit organizations, as well as, for-profit businesses. Her areas of specialization include professional and leadership development, change in workplace, and stress management.
Scott Kaplan (Treasurer) is a partner at Brown, Kaplan + Liss LLP. He specializes in family owned businesses and not for profit audit preparations, in which he works closely with clients to ensure that they comply with federal and state regulatory requirements. He is currently a member of the Evanston Lighthouse Rotary Club and the Kevin Kaplan Foundation, and has served on the Board of the Evanston Mental Health Association.
Neal Takiff (Secretary) is an attorney with Whitted, Cleary & Takiff, LLC, a firm that focuses on child welfare, mental health, juvenile law, disability law and special education.
Neil Gambow is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Kelso Technologies a company that designs and manufactures innovative products for the rail tank car market. He is a key executive for Kelso responsible for the business and development of the technologies of the company. He is the former President of Midland Manufacturing, a subsidiary of the Dover Corporation, a US Fortune 500 Company. Mr. Gambow has an undergraduate degree from the University of Dayton and an MBA from the University of Cincinnati.
Michael Corr is a Senior Vice President of Commercial Banking at First Bank & Trust. He has been with First Bank & Trust since 2002, providing financing solutions for small to mid-sized businesses throughout Chicago land, while working to strengthen community roots by building and preserving relationships with not-for-profit organizations. He is a member of the Evanston Chamber of Commerce board of directors and past President and longtime board member of the Infant Welfare Society of Evanston. Mr. Corr has an undergraduate degree from Miami University and an MBA from Northwestern University – Kellogg School of Management.
