Village Participates in 2022 Skokie Festival of Cultures
The 2022 Village booth featured giveaways as well as multi-lingual information on Village programs and services.

The Village of Skokie proudly participated in the 2022 Festival of Cultures on May 21 and 22, joining the Skokie Park District, Skokie Chamber of Commerce and other community partners along with more than 20 different countries and cultures in the 30th annual celebration of Skokie’s wonderful and cherished diversity.
This year’s Village of Skokie booth featured information sheets on Village programs and services in English and 10 different languages that are among the most predominant in the community. The information sheets are available in Arabic, Bosnian, Filipino, Gujarati, Persian, Romanian, Russian, Spanish, Vietnamese and Urdu. Click here to view or download the translated Village information sheets.
Since the Festival of Cultures began in 1990, the Village has provided financial support for the celebration, with Village officials and staff on site over the weekend-long event to greet residents and visitors, provide information and answer questions on Village programs and services. Over the years, there have been lots of giveaways, too – some practical and others just fun, ranging from pens and pencils to bright green Skokie foam fingers and this year’s special treat, a Skokie cowbell!
