Lane Closures/Sidewalk Closures for Construction Activity on Oakton Street and Lincoln Avenue.

Beginning on Monday, July 26, 2021 construction operations for the 8000 North project will occur on Oakton Street and Lincoln Avenue. Westbound lanes and sidewalks on Oakton Street between Lincoln and Floral Avenues will be closed to ensure the safety of both motorists and construction workers. The southbound right turn lane, parking lane and sidewalk along Lincoln Avenue just north of Oakton Street also will be closed. Weather permitting, lane and sidewalk closures are expected to be in place through August 16, 2021.

Traffic will be shifted and limited to one lane for westbound direction on Oakton Street between Lincoln and Floral Avenues. Traffic also will be limited to one lane for the eastbound direction on Oakton Street. Traffic will be limited to one southbound through lane on Lincoln Avenue. The northbound through lane on Lincoln Avenue will remain open. For more information, please contact the Engineering Division at 847/933-8231.
